Last week, OnePlus unveiled a range of new products, including the Nord 4 smartphone, the OnePlus Pad with a keyboard, and a OnePlus Watch. However, the company isn't stopping there, as the upcoming OnePlus Buds Pro 3 are expected to be revealed soon, with their design having already leaked online. According to Smartprix, the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 will feature a vertically opening case design reminiscent of the Nord Buds 3 Pro. The case will have a sleek leather finish on the front, a pairing button on the right side, and a Type-C port at the bottom. It will be available in two colors: Midnight Opus (black) and Lunar Radiance (a blend of silver and gold). The glossy stems will contrast with the matte-finished earbuds and ear tips, which are marked with "L" and "R" for easy identification.
The in-ear earbuds will feature windshields on the stems and are developed in collaboration with Dynaudio, as indicated on each earbud. The front of the case will display the ONEPLUS logo, and the case itself will measure 6.5 x 5.2 x 2.6 cm and weigh 61 grams.
The OnePlus Buds Pro 3 are anticipated to offer several impressive features, including up to 43 hours of battery life—4 hours more than the previous model—with a quick 10-minute charge providing up to 5 hours of music playback. The earbuds are expected to be IP55-rated, offering resistance to dust, water, sweat, and rain. They are likely to utilize the latest Bluetooth 5.4 technology, delivering ultra-low latency audio with just 94 milliseconds of delay.
In terms of audio quality, the Buds Pro 3 might feature a dual-driver configuration with an 11 mm woofer and a 6 mm tweeter, each equipped with its own DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter). They are expected to support the LHDC 5.0 audio codec, ensuring high-fidelity sound with up to 1 Mbps bitrate and 24-bit/192 kHz audio. Enhanced noise cancellation is also anticipated, with up to 50 dB of noise reduction (compared to 49 dB on the Buds Pro 2) and improved adaptive technology for better performance in various environments. Conversations and voice calls could benefit from advanced noise-canceling features, while the Dynaudio EQ is expected to offer preset equalizers tailored for different music genres, ensuring well-balanced sound.
Additionally, the Buds Pro 3 might support dual connectivity, allowing simultaneous pairing with two devices, including Android, iOS, Windows, smartphones, tablets, or computers. Given that the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 is priced at Rs 11,999, the Buds Pro 3 is expected to be priced around Rs 12,000 in India.
